Winter Lone Bison was created by hand rolling a white clay body then mold the clay into a plate with a handle. The handle has a hole, so it can be hung on a wall when not serving food. The forest trees were rolled onto the clay and glazed with a green glaze that breaks into hues of the green when fired to a cone 6. The mountains and bison are carved into the clay then glazed. The bison has three glazes within creating him. The sky is layered with glazes to give it the illusion of clouds.
Pottery is food, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
In the back is a drawing of a cow and calf bison within the hills done with a red brown underglaze. Measures: 10.5” long the diameter of the plate is 7.25”
