The mug was wheel thrown using a white clay body, once trimmed I carved the mountains within the clay. After the mug was bisque fired I scrubbed the mountains with a black under glaze, followed by hand painting the pine trees. The sky was layered painted with one glaze. The top half and inside the mug was layered with a glaze that reminds me of the outcome of an acrylic pour painting. The glaze does what it wants creating spots where it allows the bottom glaze to show. Really a fun glaze to work with. No two pieces are a like.
Mug is food, microwave and dishwasher safe.
Mug measures 3.5” diameter and stands 4” tall.
