This year was lucky enough to be able to watch and field sketch grizzly 399 and her Coys (cubs of the year). I created the mug by hand rolling a slab of clay with an antique rolling pin. Then I carve the bears and roll the trees onto the slab. At that point I start to shape the mug. No two of my mugs are the same. The handle is hand pulled. The mug is finished with an underglaze rub and hand painted glazes. These mugs are glazed with greenish turquoise and cream on the rim and inside. The inside bottom is a copper glaze The handle button is a bear paw, glazed with a copper along with the handle ringed with the glazed. Mug is roughly 4.5 inches tall. Diameter of 3 inches. Mug can be microwaved.
