This mug was created from a hand rolled slab of stoneware clay.  Pine trees are embedded  into the clay and mountains, rocks,  and a grizzly bear were carved into the clay. After bisque firing the mug was scrubbed with two underglazes than finished with hand painting  the saying "The mountains need bears in them". The rim, handle and inside the mug is a dark blue and layered with a honey flux.  Inside on the bottom of the mug are grizzly tracks.
This mug is microwave and dishwasher safe.
