I created an illusion that the indian paintbrush are within a meadow under Wyoming blue skies. I use underglazes to paint the wildflowers, so that I can blend the hues, after I paint clear glaze over them. On the back of the tray is impressed with a fern leaf and dragonflies impressed within the clay and finished with a underglaze rub. The rim is a blend of Earth green glazes.
The tray was created from handrolled stoneware clay. The tray was fired to a cone 6, all the glazes are food safe, it can be used in a micorwave and dishwasher.
