I created an illusion that the indian paintbrush are within a meadow of blooming lupines, balsamroot, and forget-me-knots. I use underglazes to paint the wildflowers, so that I can blend the hues, after I paint clear glaze over them. On the front and back of the tray are bees and a honeycomb that was impressed within the clay and finished with a underglaze rub. The tray was created from handrolled stoneware clay. The tray was fired to a cone 6, all the glazes are food safe, it can be used in a micorwave and dishwasher. Size: 4.75" x 5.75"
