This is a slab created mug which means I hand rolled the clay into a slab then cut out the wall of the mug. Then I designed the wall with a roller print and stamps to embed them into the clay. After drying to leather hardness I pulled the handle and created the thumb button. After the bisque firing I hand painted the otters and ocean with underglazes. Inside the mug and rim was painted with Arctic blue and flux .
