This is a slab created mug which means I hand rolled the clay into a slab then cut out the wall of the mug. Then I designed the wall with a roller print and stamps to embed them into the clay. After drying to leather hardness I pulled the handle and created the thumb button. After the bisque firing I scrubbed the outside wall with two different black underglazes. The rim and inside the mug was painted with a arctic blue glaze that breaks to blue or green, plus a flux was added to the rim.
