Great Horned Owl vase is a slab created vase that stands 11 inches tall and has a 4.50" diameter.  The owl is embedded and carved into the vase along with the tree that he is perched on.  The owl is painted with underglazes  after the outside of the vase was scrubbed with a red brown under glaze. The tree is outlined with a copper glaze which is also the top half of the inside of the vase. the lower half of the vase is a over lap greenish glaze.
