This tray that measures 8.5” x 10.75” is from a field sketch, and photograph from August 2020. It was an amazing morning first watching 399’s 14 year old daughter (610) with her two yearlings swim and beaver hunt at Oxbow Bend in Grand Teton National Park. To along comes 399 and her four cubs of the year. Amazing watching them swim the Oxbow, and the interaction between the two sows with cubs. Best grizzly bear watching I’ve ever had in the lower 48 states. The tray depicts when 399 and two of her cubs have finished their swim across leaving foot prints in the damp soil, and two cubs still swimming. The small island at oxbow has willows growing on it which the cubs played in a bit. Especially the little cub that likes to wander. The tray was created by carving the bears and willow trees, and finishing with an underglaze rub, and clear glaze. The rim has two layered glazes hand painted on it. The tray is food, dishwasher, and microwave safe.
